Mechanical & Technological Laboratory
Laboratories
The mechanical laboratory has several testing machines which enable to test various solid materials as metals, plastics, woods, glass, ceramic and other building materials
Some machines are mentioned here:
• 1600 kN digitally controlled servohydraulic testing machine Schenck Hydropuls S 56.
• 100 kN universal testing machine TIRA test 2300.
• 6000 kN pulsator ZDM 300/600 Pu.
Specification of the machines
Schenck Hydropuls S 56
For tensile, compression and bending tests under static and repeated cyclic loading
Hydraulic cylinder:
1600 kN (controlled by PC) – planar jaws or jaws for testing wires (rodes)
with diameter up to 45 mm, test chamber height 1100 mm
2x 400 kN (synchronization ), 63 kN, 10 kN – without jaws,
separated localised on loading frames
for test specimens with dimensions up to 12 m x 4 m (length x height)
for all cylinders: stroke +/– 50 mm
Dynamic force: 0.8 times of kN values above mentioned
Minimum speed: 0.01 mm/s (PC mode) or 0.005 mm/s (direct mode)
Maximum frequency: 10 Hz (for 1600 kN cylinder), 100 Hz (for 10 kN cylinder)
Test load max. 100 kN
Dynamometers: 10 N, 100 N, 10 kN, 100 kN
Movement by helix, speed range: 0.00012 mm/s – 10 mm/s
Test chamber height 1000 mm, width 550 mm
Hydraulic jaws supported externally, twisted jaws for testing wiresZDM 300/600 Pu
For tensile, compression and bending tests under static and repeated cyclic loading
Test load max.: static – compression 6000 kN tension 3000 kN
dynamic – compression or tension 1500 kN, alternate compression-tension 750 kN
Test chamber height 2400 mm
Stroke +/– 40 mm
Maximum frequency 10 Hz
