The mechanical laboratory has several testing machines which enable to test various solid materials as metals, plastics, woods, glass, ceramic and other building materials

Some machines are mentioned here:
• 1600 kN digitally controlled servohydraulic testing machine Schenck Hydropuls S 56.
• 100 kN universal testing machine TIRA test 2300.
• 6000 kN pulsator ZDM 300/600 Pu.

For tensile, compression and bending tests under static and repeated cyclic loading
Hydraulic cylinder:
1600 kN (controlled by PC) – planar jaws or jaws for testing wires (rodes)
with diameter up to 45 mm, test chamber height 1100 mm
2x 400 kN (synchronization ), 63 kN, 10 kN – without jaws,
separated localised on loading frames
for test specimens with dimensions up to 12 m x 4 m (length x height)
for all cylinders: stroke +/– 50 mm
